Cutting Through the Noise

A Week in Review at The Fix Liberty Project

An interactive weekly newsletter

In February 2021, The Fix Liberty Project launched a weekly newsletter called Cutting Through the Noise: A Week in Review at The Fix Liberty Project.

The newsletter is extraordinarily simple: it is a compilation of each week’s Fix Liberty Facebook posts pulled into a single email as well as a dedicated weekly blog post at FixLiberty.com.

The newsletter will be published every Sunday. It’s a good day to reflect on the past week and to consider what’s coming in the week ahead. To receive a copy of each newsletter when it is published, sign up for the Fix Liberty mailing list using the form at the top of this page.

The purpose for the newsletter is multifold: first of all, as its name suggests, this newsletter cuts though the noise of social media. Like you, I grow tired of all the bickering and hate that floods my Facebook newsfeed. Cutting Through the Noise bypasses all that garbage by curating Fix Liberty posts into clean locations: your inbox and my website. In this way, you can participate in on our conversations without having to navigate through typical Facebook muck along the way.

Secondly, Cutting Through the Noise ensures we stay in communication! Prior to this newsletter, our visibility to each other depended on the algorithms of the Facebook gods. Would my #FixLiberty posts show up your newsfeed? Would you be notified of others’ comments on the same? Who knows?! Now, however, we’re no longer at the mercy of Facebook to put us in touch. This newsletter empowers us to be proactive in our relationships within the Fix Liberty community — certainly between me and you, but also between all of us as individual members.

Thirdly, Cutting Through the Noise fosters discussion between us. I hope it’s obvious by now that I’m not interesting in talking “at” people — as if I have all the answers. Rather, I thoroughly enjoy all of our interactions and conversations. In that sense, this newsletter is our newsletter: it gets better and better as more Fix Liberty members read it and chime in with their additional thoughts and questions. My vision is that the newsletter will serve as an online meeting place for us to gather weekly to continue our great conversations in between our live events — and further build real community in the process.

Interested? I hope so! 😀 I look forward to our discussions!
